What a great experience! I unfortunately had a rip in my leather car seat. After it not being covered by the car's warranty, I found Andrew's Fibrenew website. I was impressed by the before/after pics and positive reviews, so I gave it a shot. Andrew was very responsive, got the estimate to me within a day, and we were able to schedule the repair within a week. Andrew and Joanne got to my house when they said they would, even texting me when they were on their way. They were up front about what the repair would look like and other options they could offer me. They were able to make the repair in about 1.5 hours. I was super satisfied with the repair. As he told me, it would not be 100% perfect due to the nature of the tear and leather perforations, but it is close enough. There is no more tear and it was a fraction of the cost of manufacturer replacement. I will definitely be recommending Fibrenew Albany to my friends and family. I am thrilled with the work they did on a set of dining chairs for me. Stained, scuffed, white leather upholstery got transformed into a lovely, custom dark green - wow! Communication was excellent and great care was taken. Highly recommend.
Andrew did some repair work on a sofa and loveseat for my wife and me last week. The repairs involved some rips through the leather, as well as some worn out and scratched areas.
The work was done promptly and thoroughly. While a repair to one of the rips -- a 2" - 3" tear -- did not restore it to factory conditions, it was extremely close, and takes effort to find any difference. And all the dye work was a perfect match to our 10-year-old brown leather.
Andrew is friendly, prompt, professional, and above all conscientious. He seems to take immense pride in his work, and he labored non-stop for the better part of a workday. I'm talking about the major work done in our home; as part of the initial visit, he took a footrest with him, to repair off site (and to get a head start on mixing an appropriate dye).
Keep in mind that this service is not cheap, but I'd say it was one of those cases of "you get what you pay for." All the repairs were certainly better than anything we could have done ourselves.
