About Us

The Flavions began their journey to owning a Fibrenew Franchise in the Summer of 2021. Even though the business is part of a franchise network, it is locally owned and operated by Doug and Maureen. This business venture was a great choice, as it allows them the flexibility for their family to do the things they love while serving a need in the local and surrounding communities of the southwestern lakes metro. Doug and Maureen’s strengths needed to run a small business compliment each other. Maureen enjoys the marketing and communication side of the business and Doug enjoys partnering with clients to help them find the best solution for their furniture, boat or auto seat repair needs.

Doug grew up in the northern suburbs of Minneapolis, twin cities and Maureen is a Florida native who decided to call Minneapolis, Minnesota home after being transferred here when she worked for well established Minnesota company in Eden Prairie. While they have both resided in various corners of the twin cities, they now call Waconia home. They love the vibrant and welcoming community that provides their family with a variety of local activities including many of the things they love to do. They enjoy the outdoors hiking and biking and can be seen spending time many of the local beaches, fishing docks, playgrounds and nature preserves.

Doug is also no stranger to working with cars. He was in the automotive industry for the majority of his career before deciding to make the leap into business ownership. In those roles working in both Wayzata and Shakopee, customer service was always a top priority.

Maureen has worked in a variety of corporate roles including field operations and training, over the years and understands the importance of providing quality training to employees. She also holds a Master’s of Business Administration from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN.

The Flavions are exited and eager to grow their Fibrenew business along with their customers and the lakes area community!
