Schedule: Part-time (Flexible day/week options available)

About the Role:
Fibrenew Laurel Highlands is looking for a detail-driven Part-Time Upholsterer / Restoration Technician to join our team. We specialize in high-quality leather, vinyl, and plastic repair across residential and commercial furniture, automotive, medical, RV, aviation, and marine environments. This entry-level role is perfect for someone who is good with their hands, eager to learn a unique trade, and looking for a steady, flexible part-time schedule with a supportive local team.
You Will:
- Execute restoration projects: Perform upholstery repairs, partial rebuilds, and full recover projects on furniture, automotive components, and specialized equipment.
- Craft with precision: Pattern, cut, fit, and sew materials including leather, vinyl, and fabric.
- Deliver elite quality: Deliver OEM-quality work featuring exact color and grain matching.
- Handle structural repairs: Assist with foam replacement, spring repair, panel rebuilds, and structural fixes.
- Support mobile services: Work both in-shop and on-site with our mobile service team around Westmoreland and surrounding counties.
- Maintain professionalism: Keep a clean, safe, and organized workspace, and interact professionally with customers.
You Bring:
- Proven trade experience: Basic upholstery, sewing, or related hands-on experience is required (we will train you on advanced skills).
- An eye for detail: Strong craftsmanship, a commitment to quality, and a reliable, independent mindset.
- Color Vision Requirements: Must have full color vision (cannot be color blind) to accurately perform exact OEM color and grain matching.
- Physical capability: Ability to lift 40–60 lbs and work comfortably with standard hand and power tools.
- Mobility: A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record for mobile service jobs.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn advanced techniques and manage part-time project timelines.
