“We have a leather loveseat and two chair with matching ottomans. I bought them perhaps 20 years ago. They are distressed leather, and they have been much used and much loved. But by last summer, there were tears in both cushions of the loveseat and in of one of the ottomans. I thought they were done for, but looked up "furniture repair" online and came across Fibrenew Michiana. I called them on a whim.
I was so impressed with their work! First, Joe came over to see the furniture. A few days later, he came back with several leather samples. When none of them was really the right color, he offered to dye new leather to match the existing leather on our furniture.
You can see for yourself the results! The cushions on the loveseat and the torn ottoman look like new, but still blend beautifully with the rest of the leather. To say we are delighted is an understatement! (In addition, I asked Joe about a large back cushion on a different sofa that was terribly misshapen. It turns out that the interior lining was cheap and had been shredded, so the cushion filling was a mess Joe offered to make a new interior lining for us, and that sofa now looks wonderful, too.)
