About Us

Matt and Kristine Brown have lived in Carrollton Kentucky for the past 15 years while Matt persued his career in mechanical engineering at the local steel mill. They were married in 2003 and were blessed with an amazing son in 2005.

Matt’s passion for the past several years has been building and flying radio controlled airplanes. As you might imagine such a hobby entails countless hours of building, repairing and and simply working with his hands keeping his fleet of airplanes looking sharp.

After 15 years of engineering, Matt decided it was time to try something different.  He wanted to be in business for himself. After researching several franchise opportunities, there was no question that Fibrenew was a perfect fit.  He now utilzes the same skill, craftmanship and eye for detail his RC planes requires for restoring leather, vinyl and plastic.

The Browns made the decision not to pull their nine year old son away from his friends from school and church in Carrollton by moving to Louisville. For this reason Matt commutes from Carrollton to Louisville every day to service his clients.  Eventually the Browns plan to move their shop to the Louisville area to make it more convenient for their clients to pick up and drop off items for repair.

For now Fibrenew of East Louisville is a two person operation.  Matt meets with clients, provides estimates, and performs repairs while Kristine answers the phone, schedules jobs, keeps the books,  and does the sewing on their industrial sewing machine.
