Local Events
Fibrenew Upstate recently participated in the ‘Fall in love with Foothills Festival’ in Easley, South Carolina. Host to this lovely event was The Foothills Retirement Community, which is a part of the Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina. (www.presHomesSC.org) Our leather and vinyl repair and restoration services, along with our professional fabric upholstery cleaning services, were of interest to the residents and employees of this retirement community, as well as many of the other participating vendors. And,
as if making many potential business contacts wasn’t enough, we had the added pleasure of being served a delicious southern BBQ dinner while enjoying fabulous blue grass music by Last Road. (www.lastroadbluegrass.com) Our thanks to Donna Owens, Director of Marketing Sales, and her staff for all of their hard work.
The three South Carolina Fibrenew business owners came together to participate in the Southeast Aviation Show, hosted by the South Carolina Aviation Association and held at the Greenville Downtown Airport. As the market leader in the repair, reconditioning and color restoration of leather and plastics for the aviation market, this was a great opportunity for Fibrenew to make our services known to many regional aviation businesses.
On October 1, Fibrenew Upstate participated in the 4th annual Paws For A Cause fundraiser in Greenville, SC. This dog walk is designed to raise funds for the American Cancer Society and awareness of cancer in pets. Participating pet owners enjoyed complimentary Starbuck’s coffee and Bojangles
biscuits before taking their dogs on a short walk to Reedy Falls. Then came back to watch K-9 demonstrations, play a few games, enjoy some pet tricks and even be part of a pet /owner look alike contest. (Fibrenew Upstate was lucky enough to have our booth placed right next to Simply Massage, so we enjoyed a chair massage while the pooches took their walk!) It was a great opportunity for us to make pet owners aware of our leather restoration services here in the Upstate of SC. But most of all, it’s nice to know that on a beautiful fall Saturday morning, local pet owners and businesses came together and raised over $40,000 for the American Cancer Society.
Fibrenew Upstate will be spending this Saturday in downtown Easley. This will be our second year participating in the 8th annual Spring Fling, sponsored by the Easley Downtown Business Association. There will be lots of food vendors to whet your appetite - I especially hope Yoder’s Dutch Kitchen is back with their famous, mouth watering apple fritters. And, as always, there will be plenty of arts and crafts and a variety of musical entertainment including Jack Roper and The Weatherman Band! Plus, the Easley Farmer’s Market will open it’s 2011 Season during the Spring Fling. And if our local weatherman is right, it looks like a beautiful spring, almost summer like, day is in store for us! Please stop by Booth #45 to say hello and ask any questions you may have about leather and vinyl repairs and restorations, be it for your furniture, automobile, truck or boat! We’ll have plenty of ‘before and after’ pictures and a few restored items for you to examine, as well. http://www.greenvilleonline.com/article/20110330/PCN/303300069/Easley-Spring-Fling-promises-family-fun
