“Can you pull over at the Hess Station?”
Brian and I were heading to Green Cove Springs to do a boat seat repair when my cell phone rang. When I answered, the fella said, “Is this the Leather Fixers?”
I said “Yes,” and he said, “I just passed one of your vans on the road.”
I said, “I’m in that van.”
He said, “I’m driving the Honda Pilot in front of you. Can you pull over at the Hess station and take a look at my car seat?”
I said, “Heck, Yes!”
Turned out he and his wife are the pastors at the First Presbyterian Church in Green Cove Springs. Dr. Hunter and Amy Camp. Here’s a pic of their beautiful church that was established in 1884.
They had a small spot on the leather passenger seat that had lost the dye color when some hand sanitizer spilled on it. We re-dyed the area on the car seat. Hunter was amazed at the color match, and everyone was happy.
It was a great way to end the week.
I love our moving-billboard van. If you want to see it in person, give us a call at 904 707-2326 or follow us on Twitter. We post daily so you can know when we’re coming to your neighborhood.
