We have a leather sectional sofa that developed a hole in one of the seats which we wanted repaired. We called Fibrenew Alexandria to repair it. I cannot possibly express how pleased and satisfied we are with the job that Anthony, the owner and operator of the business did for us. He took a significant hole in the couch and made it disappear.

Great work, fast service, and affordable price! They were able to restuff the cushions on my classic leather sofa for much less than the competition. Leather had blemishes. They repainted it exactly the same color, and for a great price! Highly recommend.
It was a pleasure to work with Anthony. He was knowledgeable, professional, focused and respectful of my home. My leather sectional had one badly discolored spot and several other lesser worn areas that needed to be refinished. Anthony worked no less than 2 hours on just mixing the perfect color match. Then after refinishing the areas I had identified he went on to dye and finish every discolored seam on my sofa. It's been a week since his visit, yet I still marvel at how my sectional looks like new. I would recommend him without hesitation.
Good temporary fix. My leather sofa started flaking and had this service to extend the life. Lasted well for 3 plus years but now the treatment is wearing off. Can't complain as it did extend the usefulness

I was a bit skeptical initially due the late start on the scheduled day, but Anthony's work was meticulous and demonstrated great skill in the repair and color matching. The work continued over two days and the results were well worth it. There were significant cat scratch marks on parts of my leather recliner, but it looks like new now. Highly recommend!

Anthony did a fantastic job on my yellow leather couch. It has multiple cracks (my bad for not conditioning the leather!) but Anthony was able to match the color and make it look "good as new". I would make it five stars, but the company was not located in my area and could not work on my chair. I was a bit worried as he took apart my leather sofa to better access the spot needing repair. But when he patched up the tear, I could see why - he did such a thorough job that wouldn't be possible otherwise. Lots of care getting the patch right and matching the color. When he was done, he expertly put everything back together good as new.
His quote was very reasonable and he stuck to it. He has a great attitude, never complained about unexpected complications and always focused on getting a great result.

Amazing results!! Anthony performed a miracle on a tear in a premium leather couch. I was told by another furniture repair person the hole could not be fixed. They said it would cost $6,000 to replace the entire back piece of the couch. That's insanity! Fibrenew did the repair for $200!! Anthony was on time, did what he said he would do. Very impressed.
They were all very good. Repaired and cleaned our leather sectional, which had been bruised, but not cut. Good enough that you cannot really see where they worked. It has been a couple of months (I am derelict in getting these review things done), and we are quite pleased.
Anthony is a consummate professional who obviously takes an extreme pride in his work and the results demonstrate that.

On a scale of 5 stars, I give Anthony Hyman 6. The leather steering wheel on my 2009 Ford Escape was an embarrassing hazmat calamity. My fault for letting it get that way. Anthony came to my residence and spent 4 hours restoring it to better than new. I watched him work and was tremendously impressed. He is a careful, meticulous worker who produces a great result. I recommend him without reservation.
Anthony came out to my apartment on a weekend to fix a discoloration on my white leather sofa (likely due to dye transfer from a garment). He explained the process for re-dyeing the stain in detail before he started, and then was very meticulous in mixing the leather dye to precisely match the white tone of my sofa. He treated the entire affected panel of the sofa (instead of just the spot that was discolored) - and the end result was amazing. I spent the next few days looking at the area he repaired from all different angles in a variety of different lighting, and I truly cannot tell the difference between the re-dyed panel and the rest of the couch. I was very impressed with Anthony's professionalism, extreme attention to detail, reasonable rates - and I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of leather repairs. Outstanding job!
I have a beautiful Italian leather couch that I bought from Theodores about 10 years ago. It is made of aniline leather (natural untreated leather) which means it stains easily. When someone spilled a mixed drink on it, leaving a dark stain, Anthony came to my house on a snowy day to try to repair the damage. The first thing he did was to put a protective covering over his shoes so he would not track snow in my house. He explained that because the couch was an untreated leather, an opaque leather stain would change the look of the leather, causing it to lose its translucent appearance and hide the natural grains and imperfections that give character to untreated aniline leather. Anthony worked to reduce the appearance of the stain by massaging it with heat, and then applied a leather cream that helped to lessen the appearance of the stain by making it blend in more with the natural imperfections of the leather. While the stain can never be removed, the couch definitely looks better than it did, and is something I can live with. I appreciate Anthony's honesty in telling me what would happen with a dye.
I have modern mid-century leather Italian sofa and matching chaise. In seeking estimates in the area, I was told one area with severe wear and tear due to pet scratches that enlarged was beyond repair. Anthony accepted the challenged and assured me he could restore the damaged areas and match the dye closely, a very difficult task due to the mottled nature of two dyes required to match the original color. Anthony worked well beyond his estimated hours and was meticulous in his work. He takes great pride in his technical expertise and will work tirelessly and diligently until he and the customer are satisfied with the final product. He is a masterful wizard and artist, and very fair and honest. I highly recommend him to anyone with extensive repairs, do not give up hope. My furniture now looks near impeccable, very close to the original color and texture. A job well done!
I have a cognac leather couch that is about 10 years old and when my cat was a kitten, she scratched some of the seat cushions. Overtime, the couch naturally faded and the scratches turned into tears - many beyond what I considered repair. My female friends, being the critiques that they are, determined that my condo was now an eyesore because everything else was on point but the couch. In desperation (and little cash to invest in a new couch) I contacted several leather "repair" companies on line and after sending them photos was told that the couch was too far gone 🙁 I finally contacted Anthony at Fibrenew and he agreed to accept the challenge. Folks, believe me when I tell you that what this man did is a miracle. Not only did he repair deep cuts and full blown tears, but he stained the couch to look EXACTLY the way it did when I purchased it. I have a love seat and chair that go with the set which are still in good condition and all three match perfectly now. All I can say is that it honestly takes an artisan to do something like this. Anthony is a quiet guy who is very particular about his craft and the set up and meticulous manner in which he constantly works within the repair process. Like I said, this man is an artist and I hope he posted the before and after photos. NONE of my friends could believe it and the couch looks AWESOME! I had Anthony come out to my house after work last week to repair a small tear in the passenger seat arm bolster of my TL-S as well as re dye the lower section of my drivers seat where the dye from my black belt had left a large dark area on the lower seat. The seat color is Taupe and looks almost white in certain light so needless to say I noticed it and it bothered me. Anthony was very personable and we spend a long time chatting while he did the repair. The repair for the tear came out looking good. the spot where the tear was repaired can still be seen but nowhere near as noticeable as it was before. then came the hard part, matching the color to cover the repair and re dye the lower driver seat. Anthony worked well into the night to match the repair as best he could. He told me if in the daylight it doesn't look right to call him. Im a bit of a perfectionist so when I noticed a slight difference in color Anthony came back out to get it right. Anthony is a perfectionist and wants his customers to be happy with the work he does. This time around he nailed it!. I cant even tell the difference in color. The seats were a very tough color to match but I'm so happy with the job Anthony did and his professionalism. He did not charge me anything extra to come out again. Not to mention the price he charged me to begin with was more than fare. I would recommend his work to anyone because he will not leave until you are happy with his work. Thanks Anthony!
On 5/21/2013 Anthony came to my house to repair my leather car seats which had two splits on the driver side.
He did an outstanding job and I was real please with his work. I would recommend him to my family and friends and I would use him again.
Anthony came to our home and did wonderful work repairing our sectional leather couch. We have a lap-dog Labrador Retriever that uses the end of the couch and ottoman as her own. The leather was worn, rough, and did have a small rip. He came and worked diligently to get the leather color the same as the dye. He was very careful and laid down covering. I believe he is a perfectionist which is good in his line of work. My wife and I were very impressed with the results as well as Anthony’s professionalism. He took great care with this work and with our couch and we would recommend him for any leather repair job. We are very happy that we called him and he took on the job.
Anthony came to my location to repair a small rip in my passenger seat - I watched the whole time the repair was being done - What I thought was going to be an hour repair turned out to be 3 hours but that was due to Anthony's meticulous detail in performing the repair. I write to commend Anthony Hyman for restoring a Thomas Moser chair yesterday. The chair is a very unusual color of deep green and yet he was able to find a perfect match. After he cleaned the leather and repaired the finish, you would never know that I had splattered red finger nail polish across the seat! I was really impressed because Anthony wouldn't leave until he had the color just right, and until he knew he'd have a very satisfied customer. Many thanks for his hard work and professionalism.
